 Special Session: Quantum Entanglement Minimize

SPECIAL SESSION - Quantum entanglement: foundations and applications

This special session aims at creating a friendly environment where presenting and discussing recent results, while favoring the exchange of ideas between leading physicists and young researchers working in the fields of:

- quantum information
- quantum metrology
- quantum imaging
- foundations of quantum optics and quantum mechanics
- complex systems.

Contributions from young researchers and PhD students are strongly encouraged, both as oral presentations and posters.

Related plenary speakers:
- Gerardo Adesso (University of Nottingham - UK): "Characterizing  nonclassical  correlations  via  local  quantum  uncertainty"
- Maria V. Chekhova (MPI for the Science of Light, Erlangen-Germany & Moscow State Univ.-Russia): "Entanglement of Macroscopic Photonic States"
- Antonello Scardicchio (ICTP, Trieste-Italy): TBA
- Yanhua Shih (UMBC, Baltimore-USA): "Ghost imaging and nonlocal interference"
- Juan Perez Torres (ICFO, Barcelona-Spain): "Use of the spatial shape of photons for entanglement generation"
